Description:

While ratios can be represented in a multitude of ways, this session provides examples of representations based on the language of the common core.  Two ideas to think about when representing ratios are iteration and partitioning.  Iterating or repeating a unit is done by making multiple copies of the unit.  Partitioning or splitting a unit is done by subdividing a unit.  Both of these methods expose the MULTIPLICATIVE nature of ratios.
